Landes beach-break barrels. Les Casernes is one peak on a long stretch of sand that includes La Graviere and La Nord. When the autumn swell hits and the banks are right, this is the heavy beach break in Europe. The town is loud. The water is not friendly.

- 2. Autumn is the window. Summer is warm and usually too small for the pictures you saw.
- 3. Rips are part of the paddle-out. If you do not read beach breaks, start at La Nord on a smaller day.
